HEALTHY AIR FRYER POPCORN RECIPE
A lot of people are health conscious these days and are in search for healthier food and method of cooking so today in this blog I’ll try to explain about healthy method of making popcorn by using air fryer.
Popcorn is a healthy snack, because nutritional wise it is a whole grain food and high in fiber.
No wonder everyone loves popcorn, because it is healthier and easy to make either you go for a movie or you snack at home.

An air fryer is an essential kitchen ware which has been loved by everyone in short period of time. There is a lot of recipes you can cook in air fryer.
It uses convection, the hot air circulates around the food and makes it crispy without needing as much oil we usually use to fry our food in a pan.
With an air fryer you can make delicious food without any mess in your kitchen and you don’t have to keep an eye over your food while its cooking, because in air fryer you can set the time to cook your food and it will get ready without over cooking or without burning your food.

Basically, food cooked in an air fryer is healthier than how we cook usually in traditional way. We can cook varieties of food in air fryer.

Yes, you can make microwave popcorn in air fryer, this is the most asked question.
But the only difference in normal corn kernels and microwave corn kernels is the normal corn kernels does not have seasoning or artificial flavoring in it you have to season before you cook.
Whereas the microwave corn kernels are sealed in a paper bag which contains oil, saturated fat and salt seasoning or any other artificial flavorings.

Tips for making perfect popcorn in air fryer:
You can add corn kernels in a bowel and spray olive oil or pour 2 tablespoon preferable oil, put some salt and pepper to taste and mix it well, before placing the popcorn in the fryer basket.
Wrap the fryer basket with aluminum foil to prevent popping the corn out of the air fryer.
Spread the corn kernels in single layer to cook evenly.

45g dried corn kernels
Spray Olive oil or 2 tablespoon preferable oils; vegetable oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Method of making popcorn in air fryer:
Add the 45g dried corn kernels in the fryer basket and spray olive oil, vegetable oil, coconut oil as you prefer.
Insert the basket in and turn on the fryer in 400f/200c.
Set the time in air fryer 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes popcorn is ready to move out of the fryer.
Transfer the popcorn in a large container.
Your popcorn is ready to serve.
You can season your popcorn with melted classic butter or with dried chives, nutritional yeast as per your taste/requirement.
Cheese lovers need to have some cheese on their popcorn too, so grate the cheese and pour the hot popcorn which will melt the cheese and shake them well. Your cheese popcorn is ready to serve.
You can also simply season your popcorn with salt, mix the corn kernels in oil and salt prior, this way you can make your popcorn simple which tastes better.
